				Hi Roy,
There is a slight difference between the words, 'change' and 'exchange'. Change (係更改) would refer to something being altered or different in some ways. See http://m-w.com/dictionary/change
If you are going to use the sentence,
"neither liked his seat so they changed with each other", this means that they exchanged their seats. Exchange (意思是交換) would also imply 'trading'- you give or take one thing in return for another .
